About Mathematics Olympiad Qualifier:

Mathematics Olympiad Qualifier (MOQ) is a UAE level Mathematics Olympiad which is conducted by International Olympiad Foundation(IOF®). It is conducted once in a year.  International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is officially represented by International Olympiad Foundation in the United Arab Emirates.

  

Syllabus and Exam Pattern

• IMO Class 1 Syllabus and Exam pattern

Pattern:

 Time allowed: 60 mins

 No of questions: 30

    

Syllabus:

Skip Counting, Back and Forth Counting, Tens and Hundreds, Addition, Subtraction, Comparison Time and Calendar, Money, Identification of Geometrical Figures, Number Series, Measurement Knowing Patterns, Applied Mathematics.

 

• IMO Class 2 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

No of questions: 30

Syllabus:              

Ones, Tens, Hundreds and Thousands, Subtraction, Addition, Division, Multiplication, Comparison, Time and Calendar, Geometrical Figures, Money, Measurement, Number Series, Applied Mathematics, Knowing Patterns.

• IMO Class 3 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

No of questions: 30

 

Syllabus:

Number System, Subtraction, Addition, Division, Multiplication, Decimals, Fraction, Time and Calendar, Money, Measurements, Pictograph, Lines, Angles and Triangles, Comparisons, Number Series, Area and Parameter of Geometrical Figures, Applied Mathematics Knowing Patterns.

• IMO Class 4 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

No of questions: 40

  

Syllabus:

Number System, Roman Numerals, Operation on Numbers, Factors and Multiples, Decimals, Fraction, Money, Geometrical Concepts, Area and Perimeter of Geometrical Figures, Unitary Method, Graphical Representation of Data, Number Series, Applied Mathematics.

• IMO Class 5 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

No of questions: 40

 

Syllabus:

Number System, Operation on Numbers, Roman Numerals, Factors and Multiples, HCF and LCM, Fraction, Decimals, Percentage, Geometrical Concepts, Area and Perimeter of Geometrical Figures, Graphical Representation of Data, Number Series, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Reasoning, Probability.

 

• IMO Class 6 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

No of questions: 40

                   

Syllabus:

Number System and its Operation, Fraction and Decimals, LCM and HCF, Ratio, Proportion and Unitary Method, Linear Equation, Algebraic Expression, Percentage, Profit, Loss and Discount, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Line, Angles and Triangles, Perimeter, Area and Volume of Geometrical Figures, Symmetry, Statistics, Mathematical Reasoning, Probability, Applied Mathematics.

 

• IMO Class 7 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Number System and its Operation, Fraction and Decimals, Simplification, Rational Numbers, Exponents, Linear Equation, Algebraic Expression, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Percentage, Probability, Mensuration, Data handling, Line, Angles and Triangles, Number Series, Ratio and Proportion, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Reasoning.

 

• IMO Class 8 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

 No of questions: 40

Syllabus:

Rational Number, Power, Square and Square Roots, Cube and Cube Roots, Factorization, Linear Equation, Algebraic Expression, Time and Work, Variation, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Compound Interest and Simple Interest, Statistics, Probability, Mensuration, Mathematical Reasoning and Logical Ability, Applied Mathematics.

 

• IMO Class 9 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins  

No of questions: 40

                   

Syllabus:

Real Numbers, Polynomials, Linear Equation in Two Variables, Line Angles and Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Statistics, Mensuration, Mathematical Reasoning, Probability, Logical Ability, Coordinate Geometry, Circles, Applied Mathematics.

 

• IMO Class 10 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

 

Pattern:

Time allowed: 60 mins

No of questions: 40

                   

Syllabus:

Number System, Linear Equation, Coordinate Geometry, Polynomials, Quadratic Equation, Binomial Theorem, Statistics, Trigonometry, Circles, Triangles, Probability, , Mensuration, Mathematical Reasoning and Logical Ability, Sequence and Series, Applied Mathematics.

  

Eligibility Criteria:

1. You must be student studying in a school or completing a school and not enrolled into any other University.
2. You must not be older than 20 years as on 1st-July-2018
3. The students will shortlisted on the bases of qualifiers for IMO by IOF.

 

Important Date:

Last date for online confirmation of participation by countries- 15 Feb, 2018.

Last day for receipt of problem proposals- 30 march, 2018.

Last date for online registration of leaders, deputy leaders, observer, the number of contestants and arrival day for leader- 20 April, 2018.

Last date for full payment of charges for single rooms and observers in cleared funds- 20 may, 2018.

Last date for online registration of contestants- 31 may, 2018.

Last date for online registration of al travel details- 15 june, 2018.

 

Exam Date:

3rd week of October to 3^rd week of November.
